Successful Annual Potluck/Drum Circle/Fundraiser!

Thanks to all who came out to the Royston Community Hall on Sunday Dec 18th to join Monica Hofer (rhythm-spirit.blogspot.ca & Drums Alive Comox Valley on Facebook) for her annual Drum Circle/Potluck/Fundraiser celebrating the Solstice! We gathered in joyful & energetic spirits to share great food and great rhythms on drums, buckets and balafons with friends old and new.....and raised donations of food to fill a shopping cart and money adding up to $200 for the Comox Valley Food Bank!

Bucket Drumming Ensemble Class has begun!

Bucket Drumming Ensemble Class has started, and we are meeting Wednesdays 1 - 2 pm at the Royston Community Hall for a total of 10 weeks!
By the end we should have a couple of really nice orchestrations put together - very exciting indeed! There is still room for more participants - bring a bucket of any size (preferably a Home Depot orange or Walmart blue size) and your joy of rhythm...that's all you need! And if you don't have a bucket, just let me know -- I have a few extras!

Friendly Reminder - Fall Season has begun!

Just a friendly reminder that the fall drumming season has officially begun!

If you were not at the Royston Community Hall last night, you missed the first class of this 6 week session of:

Breaking News! Drums Alive is coming to Nanaimo!

Drums Alive is spreading Island-wide! Monica will be facilitating Drums Alive at the Northridge Health Performance Centre (https://www.facebook.com/northridgefitness/?fref=ts) starting May 2nd! There is a free intro class April 25, but registration is necessary due to maximum participant numbers. Call 250.751.0505 FMI and to register! Exciting!!
