***in this class we use handheld drums similar to but NOT THE SAME AS indigenous frame drums, and we play with our hands not with beaters; the art of the frame drum has ancient roots and we will be playing in the style of Layne Redmond (for absolute beginners!)***

(this is an ongoing class for women, following the ancient path of ancestral women frame drummers à la Layne Redmond, which includes stepping and chant along with playing both the frame and jingled frame drums -- if you are interested in joining as a beginner, please contact instructor first)
